I was just wondering if anyone on this forum hunts using a traditional/recurve. I just purchased one and I think I'm going to hunt with it this season instead of a compound. What are your thoughts?

I used to hunt with a recurve bow. I have 2 recurves and 2 compound bows. My dad has taken several deer and even a bear with his recurve. Last year he shot a chuckar out of the air with his recurve. I posted a picture somewhere in the hunting section. My dad really likes recurves because they are primitive, simple to maintain, light weight, teach you to become and instictive shooter, and for the challenge of closer shots. By the way the deer were taken with a 45 lb draw and the bear with a 57 lb draw. The arrows all passed through with the exception of 2 deer. Good luck to you. My friend George Metina just opened up a shop this year. www.badlandbowhunters.com (http://www.badlandbowhunters.com)
