That is cool, I'll be ordering one but I see that the App is not available. I may end up waiting a bit.

Yeah, this could be pretty useful. Seems a bit gimmicky at first, but it'd be especially useful for people wearing head-mounted gopro's who can't see if the thing is recording or if they've even got it in the right video mode. I'd just have the remote on my wrist so I could change settings and get it recording.
