Always thought they only opened up where they could liquor and wine.

Love their selection of cheeses and snacks. They have some dangerously addictive snacks. Hate their veggie and fruit aisle....too much plastic wrapping.

Thanks for sharing, will keep it in mind for our annual SLC medical trip.

As
restrac2000 Always thought they only opened up where they could liquor and wine. indicated, they seem to be best known for liquor. My mother that lives in Texas is always asking if we have a Trader Joe's here because she wants a certain wine.

Sweet! Goodbye Whole Paycheck!

Their cheese is awesome...ditto primevel muffins, jo jo's, those little nut/fruit packs, their coffee, etc etc.

I think there's gobs of TJ's back east that don't have liquor. Had always heard they wouldn't open a location until they had a multi store plan deal going...hmmm....O town and valley of happiness?

Its just sweet that Vegas is just a couple hours away, nice day trip for wine and cool selection of great foods...

my understanding is it has more to do with proximity to their distribution centers.

there are some states where only a fraction or none of their stores sell alcohol

Stand corrected.

Hoping they get one in St George as well. That said, I have actually found Harmons to my liking.

2 Buck Chuck got kinda old after a while but they gave us a hell of a deal on cases of wine for our wedding.

My wife loves Trader Joes and occasionally finds an excuse to go to Vegas for a fix. There was a rumor that they were considering Mesquite but it never happened, too bad.

I bought a bunch of little treats from Trader Joe's when I was in SoCal a couple months ago. The ones I remember most were a Trader Joe's brand of reeses peanut butter cups in a large container. Damn they were much better than the original and I ate almost the whole container. :slobber:

I am wishing for one in St. George as well! When I was living in Henderson I was just a block away from one!

Wow...crowded this weekend and the shelves were bare in spots! Amazing...inside traffic jams were nutty.

Cheese! Yay!

I love their mango sorbet!

All the TJ stores I visited on the East Coast have a decent selection of imported beers, but nothing to brag about, little or no wine, and no hard liquor at all.
