Sterling and I took a trip from North Ogden Divide towards Ben Lomond Peak. We ran into a few snow spots that we were able to get through, but eventually had to give into the snow pack!
I suspect we will be able to get to Ben Lomond and Willard Peaks sometime in mid-June. If you haven't rode this, it is a 100% must do! This is definitely one of the best single tracks in the state.
We will be planning a group ride in late June. Here is a map of the Area with Waypoints to show what I'm talking about and some photos from today's ride. With lots of shedding Mtn Goats! BAAAAA!

It's been a few years since I last rode that trail. I would like to do it again.

How's the shoulder?

It's functional. The strange thing is that it quits hurting when I ride. Weird.

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. This is one of my favorite rides and can't wait to get up there. I wanted check with you guys to see if there is some info I don't have, but according to the Forest Service the Skyline Trail is closed to motorized travel Nov 15 through July 15. Local groups like the Sierra Club have been successful in getting lot's of trails in the area closed in the past 10 years to ATVs and dirt bikes because of people not following the "rules". (e.g. Public Grove area) The Ogden RD is notorious for not visibly marking trails and I've been guilty of not following the motorized travel plans in the past. I hate to be a downer, but I don't want to lose any more local places to ride. Hope to see you out there.

July 15th? Is that an average year or is that specifically this year?

Thanks for the info. I just looked at their website, and indeed it does say that North of North Ogden Divide is closed to Motorized travel until July 15th.

In light of this, I think we will plan our invite for sometime after that.

We want to keep the trail open to Motorcycles for sure!!
