The wife and I made a quick trip to Great Basin National Park last week. We could not have asked for better weather and a better time! Upon arrival, we asked three different rangers how conditions on the Wheeler Peak Trail were, and got a unanimous vote that crampons would be required. We did not bring those, so we resorted to the Bristlecone and Glacier Trail. Though there was alot of snow on the trail that required an alternate improvised route, we made it to the end with great views! The cirque was absolutely beautiful and we had the entire trail to ourselves.

And of course, I cant forget the body sledding down the frozen snow fields. Dont worry, we made sure there was good stopping distance at the bottom!
