If I get a permit for Orderville, to exit downstream, do I need a permit for Englestead given that the technical part of the canyon appears to be outside of the park? I know the backcountry desk issues Englestead permits, but they also happily issue permits for other canyons outside the park where a permit is not required. I ask because I can reserve Orderville permits but not Englestead permits for the time I'm going to be out there. Anyone in the know?

Yes, you need a permit for Engelstead.

Being in Orderville above veiled falls requires a permit.

There are required rappels in Engelstead that are inside the Park.

Wait, I thought the Park in essence started where Engelstead ended? Gotta look at the map again. (Stupid permit....like Kolob)

This is actually a pretty interesting question. If it was me, I would just get permits for Orderville. It's like the very last rap is inside the park and it's like 1/4 mile. The rest is outside. Screw them. Here's a map.
