For home defense I think I prefer a bullet that doesn't go through the walls of the next 5 rooms.... Just sayin'

I consider my 870 proper home security.... Though I keep my PX4 handy in the bedroom.

The only draw back of a scatter gun is it doesn't fit in my nightstand drawer.... :cool2:

Another vote for the shotgun. Just the sound of the pump action would make me think twice about a confortation.
