It sure would be great to be at Bryce with a super duper telescope to watch that puppy come up. Alas, I'll have to settle with watching it from the roof of my house here in Denver.

Was camping with the Scouts up Spanish Fork Canyon last night and could not believe how bright it was. Could see very well without a headlamp.

The moon was very bright, If I would have thought about it sooner, I would have invited everyone to come take a look through my sons 8" telescope that he built with my dad. You can only view the mountains and crater edges through it. It is that powerful. We have looked at mars and the moons and rings of the other planets over the past 3 years.
