Has anyone been down Boundary or Kolob recently? I'm interested in checking them out the first weekend in May. Thanks for any input. :haha:

I think even in a modest snow year, Kolob holds snow well into that first weekend of May.

There's some relevant notes on that mixed in with the flowers on this post:

Synopsis: there's still snow on the north side of Lava Point, and the road to the West Rim TH still has snow on it. So, ... Boundary is likely super-burly right now, but in a couple of weeks it might be doable. Kolob stream looked small where it crosses the road. Usually at this time of year it is big as water overflows the reservoir, so... ??? I think it might be a big year for Kolob because they don't have the water to send down the stream like they have the last 5 years.

Still, I agree Kolob first week in May sounds cold, burly and not too much fun. YMMV. MIA Exit likely to have have snow in places too, could be super-treacherous.

Thanks for the input Tom. I may just drive up to the bridge and have a look myself. Snow on the MIA sounds fun  maybe two weeks of good weather would clear it out?
Maybe if we had any bacon we could have bacon and eggs if we had any eggs? :lol8:
