Not long ago I happened onto a History Channel show where this fellow restored an air raid siren to working order for the Clark County Museum. Since I was headed to Zion via Vegas I decided to check it out.
Actually spent nearly 3 hours wandering the museum grounds. There's 30 acres of exhibits to explore both inside and out, both in the sun and in the shade. Perhaps the exhibits are not glitzy like the ones on The Strip, but the price is right: just a buck for kids of if you're age 50 or older, and just two dollars for those inbetween.
If you happen to have a few hours to spend in Vegas and wish to spend them frugally, you might consider a visit to this place.
