This is us riding mine cars in the Buffalo Mine located around the the Ophir Mining District sometime around 1994-1995. I will have to admit, I did this every time I went to the mine and had way to much fun. :)

Last time I checked the mine was open. But I will ask around and find out for sure.

Is riding allowed or we have to take permission to go before a ride ?

Sadly about 10 years ago someone went in and pulled all the ore carts, the mucker, and the engine. I don't know how they did it, but it's all gone. And this is really one of the only places I know that you could ride mine carts. I was really sad.
