Limited draw Turkey Hunt

My 14 year old and I got tags again this year for the Limited Entry Turkey Hunt. Thursday morning, we take off for Marysvale to stage our blind, scout the Tom's and hopefully bring two home.

A trip report will follow.

Sadly, weather is now calling for rain/snow for the remainder of the week!

The turkeys will still respond to the call. I have shot them in the rain and snow. The main problem is making your call work when it is wet. Most do not work. I use a mouth diaphram so inclement weather doesn't matter. Some slates and box calls are made to work when wet. Good luck, looking forward to a trip report.

We're not done yet. We didn't see any wild turkey (only domesticated! :roll: ) in Marysvale, so we're heading to Fillmore Friday afternoon. I just spoke to the owners at the KOA and they said hunters are coming back with turkey -- and they seem to be generally everywhere along the Pahvant mountains.
