@nelsonccc (http://www.bogley.com/forum/member.php?u=396) took us out to a fun area near Vegas called Nelson Hills. 7 of us rode some fun single track and challenging/very aerobic whoop sections. Its was an excellent day. I did take a few photos. If you have more post them up. I got a pic of @double moo (http://www.bogley.com/forum/member.php?u=116) 's bike after some whiskey throttle! It shot straight in the air. :eek2: BrAAAAAp. :ride:

A trip to the Mesquite buffet on the way home completed this trip! :slobber:

From the towers looking north is the large solar plant.
south to the type of terrain we road through.
And looking east to the Colorado river.

I think acca forgot to count himself.

Looked like an awesome ride fellas..I use to race in that area back in the early 90's on a quad use to be my favorite race due to the technical areas we used to run... Ride On !!!!

Well now ChanManFZLV Is that 06 KFX 400 a two wheel machine or is it a 4?
I might be thinking of the KLX?
Anyway about 70% of this ride was single track and it was great.

It was a blast of a ride. It was fun to show you guys my neck of the woods. I enjoyed getting into the less traveled areas of Nelson onto some great singletrack! I think between Mesquite, Logandale, and Nelson you boys have lots of areas to come down to for some serious winter time riding.

It was and I had a great time on all rides south of here.
Can't wait to hit you up on some more.
I have not found this La Verkin single just yet but I will.

That reminds me have you nelson, Hit any of this Chief MTN OHV yet?
I think it is just west of Caliente,NV. and is said to have a small bit of nice single through the rocks and cliffs.
It is a very new one.

I was right hung up when somebody decided on the alternate route.:lol8:
There was some luck on this day as he cleared the deadly rock pile by yards.:lol8:
About 9 of them. Both up and out.

Was Doublemoo going up the hill or down when he left the trail ?

:lol8: Well let's just say he started going up at first. Then out then almost down to the bottom again.
Wish the heck I had a go-over the edge cam on.:naughty: EPIC.

Sure hope he's doing well. He took a shot to his upper ribbs along the way.
NOT fun. As we all know.

But he's a tuff SOB and rode it out and got through many plates of sea food on the way home.

Unfortunately the run in is sand.. so the rear tire was spinning substantially faster than I was rolling. *As the rear hooked up the bike shot straight up the taller set of rocks leaving me off the back landing on on my feet watching. *Bike was better than 8 feet above me in the air and pretty much landed on its side where you see it. *I figured I'd have some damage - nope! - pretty much unscathed! *Good thing as we were a good 10 miles out still! No one got film of it... Damn.

Yes sir she shot up like a rocket when she hooked up. Reminds me of the widow maker hill climbs of old.
Sure glad to hear the bike is fine. And I'm glad you did not get hurt.

It was a great ride and I am glad I went.

Yeah, that was nutz. I look back and Moos bike is airborne. I was like, WTF! :lol8:

The thing is he would have been just fine if it were not for some green ass bastard (ME) that got hung up on the little 2' ledge and put the skids on the whole program.
It was like a deep sand filled bottom of a warterfall right after a left hand turn turn then you had to commit to loading up your springs and gun it to grab just enough air to get her done.

Something I need to work on.

I'm not bragging or anything but I thought that section was pretty easy.....just saying! It's a pretty tricky corner. Everyone used to have to take the dropoff and just wheelie up it but recently that trails has formed on the right that Moose went airborne on. I prefer the hard turn, and popped clutch to clear the drop off rather than that loose, offcamber uphill section. I know it's a harder section 'cause I've ridden that trail a couple dozen times and I still stalled my bike after clearing the drop off.

Son of a gun I know this is an oldie but I have had dreams of doing this one again.

I'll ride this one again and hope I can get some others that feel the same way I do about it.:stud:

I'm not even sure what it is about this trail but it was taxing and a bit faster than most trails and I DIGGIT!

You really need to get up here for a few days. I guarantee you will be blown away. Hell, I ride up here weekly and am still blown away. We have a lot of big eye openers! You'd love it.

Actually I rode a 250r Fourtrax(quad) back then and it was alot of fun. Most of the trails we raced on where bairly wide enough to race on but we made it happen...but that place was the most technical place we raced and I loved it alot of challenges. ;0)
