St George area canyons

I'm headed to St George next week and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good, fairly technical canyon for a group of 4. No water is a must. I'm hoping that the dry year will have left opportunities open for us. We're a group who at least have a good handle on the basics and we're looking for something that will stretch us a little. I'd like something that is at least half a day. If we drive over to Zion, is it dry enough to be worth it? Or is there something closer that would fit the bill? Suggestions? Thanks in advance

Two canyons close to SG are Yankee Doodle (combine with Boltergeist for 1/2 day), but with recent rain and snow may find a bit of water in Yankee Doodle?

Another option nearby: Arch Canyon on the eastern flank of Snow Canyon S.P.
The "Bushwacker" went through just a couple days ago and said that there were 3 chest deep pools? Stop by The Desert Rat and I'd be glad to give you info for this one?

Just talked to Kristen (Park Manager) and Arch Canyon is open until March 15 and closes from 3-15 until 10-31 for raptor season. Permits are required and for the moment can be obtained only at the office in SCSP. As soon as they get info posted and linked to paragon.com's canyon beta an online permit system will be in place (probably next week?) Permit fee is $8.

Bo, any details you can share on this canyon? How many raps? Length? ACA Rating? I will be there this weekend and would love to stop by and get info on the route...

Come by today and I can help. I don't work tomorrow. Longest rap about 175, but can be cut in half at midpoint anchors.. About 5? total raps.
