The dealership "Steadmans" has promised three times in the past weeks to call me with an estimated delivery date... still waiting on that call. :angryfire:

The past several machines I purchased there were all good, easy, fair transactions but I hate it when a salesman doesnt follow through on a promise. I can see a trip to Tooele in my near future but I bet it's not for what I want. :ne_nau:

I hear you on the salesman thing.
Sometimes it is better to give out bad news and hope that things turn for the better then client will end up a little bit happier.
Be patient I'm sure it's on the way.

so I post that response in the morning and guess who calls before noon and says "i hear you want to bail on this bike"? I suppose someone at said dealership follows Bogley or someone that does follow passed along a message:nod: still don't know when the bike will arrive but at least the dealership remembers me all of the sudden and has interest in my money again :2thumbs:

I would like to try a fuel injected crf450r. I was suprised to recognize the difference in power between the dirtbikes and the bikes with electric start. I would have thought that there would not have been any differences. I was very impressed with the suspension handling on the husabergs. I wonder how much it would cost to try to duplicate the same on a japanese bike ?

I took a 09 FI CRF450R for a test ride and dam just a crack of the throttle and it was up in the air like right now.
Seems to be great for racing but way to much for trail riding to me. EXPLOSIVE

I tried. You can't.:lol8: Just Kidding.

Get your forks and rear shock Re-Valved (if they're not already) and check for spring rate. Stock springs are usually set up for a rider 170-185lbs give or take a few pounds.
I'm 210lbs, so on my Yamaha, I went with heavier springs (front and back), Gold Valves on the front, and new fluid. It was MUCH better. The fronts were about $500.00 and the back was about $250.00.

I have tons of other information, but it's mostly useless unless you really need to know the types, years, good, bad, yada yada yada!. Get some damn shallower bars man! Those things are Ape Hangers!:stud:
Once you get the idle fixed, you're Golden on power, Holy SHIT. That thing is dangerously fun! Thanks for letting me try to ride it.:lol8:

Sometimes when you run a bike so lean it is on the verge, it will have all the power

Sad part is so many try to sell them that way.

But it is not to hard to tell when they just bark wrong.

By the way now that I have this YZ dialed in it is a very fast and scary ride for me when your runnin and gunnin. I love it.
Spooky kind of fun. The clutch is weird getting use to then I learned to not use it. Well except for corners, stops and starts.
But the single tracks
and slow stuff it still messes with me when warm.

BUt I'm just as GREEN as they come.

It is a great bike brother. The rest is up to me.
