I'll be looking for these this week, I think I have a good idea where they are.

There are many of these in Western States, lots of speculation on the origin.

Busy day today, we found these glyphs, based off 1 picture.

I re-created the picture I used to locate these

Just from the pics i would say that it appears they do not have any biological growth in the grooves even though the rock surface certainly does. ??

I know nothing about the aging timeline for biological growth.

But--If you find this broken arch, and peer through it, it points directly at the cave with the glyphs..........

wish I had seen this thread earlier I would have gladly told you were it was located. I use to run by here all the time in college & would sometimes make a visit to the glyphs. glad you ended up finding it.

That would have ruined the challenge, we didn't want coordinates(if they were available) or any other information.
The fun was getting out and finding a location with minimal clues.

We just found the "Naming Cave" today, down by Gunlock, same scenario.

OK I promise not to ruin any of your scenario's if you promise to show me the naming cave so I can visit next time I'm down by gunlock. :haha: :2thumbs:

Hope I didn't come off as too crass...Not meant in that way at all.

It was just fun to find this with only a slight skyline background,

not to mention, we hiked 3 times more than we would have if location was pre-determined.:haha:

Way cool. It's pretty satisfying to find stuff that way.

I have heard of the "Moroni Cave," but have not been. I would love to know how to get there. I have lived in Cedar for 8 years and have yet to see these inscriptions. Any directions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
