I just returned from a seven day trip to Johnson Valley California and the annual "King Of The Hammers" event where I was on the pit crew for the #4437 Sexton Offroad competition buggy.
One of the many highlights of my trip was to watch the first ever King Of The Motos event.
By invitation only this event featured the top names in two wheeled dirtsports and a route meant to tax riders and machines to their limits.
As expected, Graham Jarvis, though he did not lead most of the race, crossed the finish line first.
Of the 21 starters six finished the race,
1 Graham Jarvis # 88 2:57:19
2 Kyle Redmond #17 3:09:41
3 Destry Abbott #8 3:29:16
4 Mike Slawson #307 3:45:32
5 Cody Webb #247 4:00:40
6 Jimmy Jarett #24 4:05:28
I heard before the race that race promoters expected it to take six hours to finish.
I shot some video but there are better on youtube so I will link them :2thumbs:
