Well I've just about had all I can stand of this here Cherry Creek Area from the reports/vids.

I'm hoping if I can get a date of around March +-
I'll just get in the area and camp.
But I am need of you Bogley crazies to show me around to the great single track stuff.

A few years ago I read a big a@@ book on the avenging angle( Porter Rockwell) Like some 400 or 500 + pages on a very colorful dude.
From what I understand there is a cabin in the area that he settled back upon in his older years.
Something I would like to see if possible that I think is in the area.

But what really got my juices flowing was the picts. from fourtycals ride out there somewhere. With all the single tracks and insane climbs.

Not sure if this can be reached from 5 mile but I'm guessing it is close.

Keep me in mind and if possible let's get into this one boys.

You can count me in. I can take you to the old Rockwell homestead and we can hit up some single track. Tons of places to camp and such, maybe a quick run onto some dunes if we can find our way :2thumbs:

Here are a few more pics to keep up the excitement http://www.bogley.com/forum/showthread.php?33292-A-ride-near-Eureka

Hmm I was under the idea that the cabin I had in mind was out in the country with a few stables, cribbs and a pond if I remember right. More like a ranch is the one I'm thinking of.
Course one place he owned was a saloon across from Brigham Young's House in SLC. That did not last long with Brigham's wifes complaining about that one.
It was funded by ol Brigham himself when Porter had fallen on some hard times..:lol8:

When I was in school I could care less about history. Now I love it.

acca, Is this pict. taken in Eureka?

Carb-Done
Foot peg/kickstand -Done
Eat up the final 20% of clutch in the morn- Soon.
I just can't see wasting a new oil change for a clutch:lol8:
Figure Mesquite will work just fine. Maybe some sandy hill climbs to finish her off. DOO :facepalm1:
