Fiery Furnace

we are planning to hike the fiery furnace in February. Ranger guides are not available until March. Any advise for maps of trail guides to assist with navigation? Thanks

Without a ranger guided tour or going with someone that has been before you are wasting your time, the place is a maze. You will end up lost and stomping lots of cryptobiotic soil, in addition to missing most of the cool stuff. There is no map or trail guide available, because there is really no trail. You will also have a hard time pulling a permit from the rangers, the first question the rangers will ask, even before attending Fiery Furnace school is "have you been in before?"

My suggestion.... try posting in the hiking section of this forum and see if you can find a partner that has been through before.
