As many of you know after my last Bogley get together here in southern Utah.
My carb. acted up on me on my YZ.
I was sure it was the Accelerator Pump Diaphragm.

Turned out so far until I get it all pinned down it was just one dirty SOB. Diaphragm is good and there was no visual probs with the bottom of the float bull.
But as I dug in deeper this B@#^& was well lets just say one dirty SOB.

Long story short got her put back together and she runs like a raped ape but no no no she's a leaking.:facepalm1: Back to the drawing board.

So as stated in the thread topic.
How often do you guys clean your carbs.?
Is this a yearly thing? Do you just deal with it as it comes up? Or is this something I might need to keep a schedule on?

It does not to seem to be a winterizing kind of thing (Float bull was clean but that was all).

However the boys at WO sports let me do a dyno. With just a simple carb. clean and readjusting my valves with the fuel mix at optimum from the first run and then some fine tuning I got a 2.37 ft. lbs. in Torque gain and a 2.07 in Horse Power gain.
It stayed the same until 3000rpm and came back to the same at about 6750 rpm with still some improved numbers slightly at the end. This is on the Dynojet Performance Evaluation Program tie down and software.
Fun and interesting stuff but she still has the dreaded YZ bogg.
The fuel injection gets rid of this from what little I understand.

But most important is she whats to wheel stand like right now baby for those of us that don't understand the numbers thing.
