Transferring Files from Dish Network DVR??

My Dish Network DVR is being updgraded to an HD-DVR on Tuesday. However, I would like to be able to save what's on the current DVR. Does anybody have any information on how to do this?

I'd just download (torrent) what I wanted to save.... you will NOT be happy with the old crap if you now have HD capabilities.
