I scored a good deal on a room at at bed and breakfast in Moab on KSL Deals,
http://www.ksl.com/public/deal/show/1877

So my wife and I will be going down there for a weekend in late march. We've been down to Moab a couple times, but haven't really gotten out and done much hiking outside of the main trails in Arches (delicate arch ect). There are so many trails down there that all sound great so it's hard to limit it down to which ones to do with only two days to do them in. So I was looking for opionions on what the "Best" trails in the area are.

I'm looking for moderiate hiking trails, canyoneering trails with no equipment, and beginner to moderate mountain biking trails. These would need to be shorter trails, since we are only there for two days and are not camping out.

Or maybe we could just make this a thread on everyones "Favorite Moab Trail".

Any info would be great!

Beginner to moderate MTB trails found north of town off the east side of the main highway. Klondike Bluffs is a good beginner bike/hike combination. Slightly harder trails found around the Bar-M (??) Ranch, just north of Arches NP.

Gemini Bridges.

Assuming that road conditions allow you to motor along the dirt surface Gemini Bridges Rd for 4 or 5 miles. In the immediate vicinity is 4 Arch Canyon where you can enjoy short hikes to 4 arches.

Not sure which weekend you plan on being there, but spring is extremely busy in Moab. You may want to take into consideration major events (such as the Jeep Safari--starting Mar. 31) in making plans...

Moab Happenings can give you some ideas about whats coming up.

Hike up Negro Bill Canyon to Morning Glory Arch. Hiking up Courthouse Wash for a few miles is nice. It starts at the bridge just North of the big Colorado River bridge. Also Hunter Canyon is a fun hike. It is down the Kane Creek Road. All the choices that Shane listed are great ones, especially Corona Arch. It is hard to go wrong in Moab.

Thanks for the info, these all look like good areas. It will be hard to decide what to do with only 2 days. I did check the calendar first and hopefully picked a good weekend. March 23-25, I didn't see anything major planned that weekend. I have been down there before on Memorial day weekend, and I will never do that again, CRAZY. I'd still like to hit a slot canyon if there is a good one somebody knows of. Also any other info, keep it flowing! THANKS

Well the time for the trip is drawing near and I'm getting my itinerary put together. Corona arch hike and Klondike Bluffs bike trail are both on there for sure. I'm trying to get some final details on some other hikes / rides. I can't seem to find much on the wind caves hike. Can anybody give me some more info on that? Apparently I have to be somebody’s friend or something, kind of reminds me of facebook . Anyway, some more info on that would be appreciated. Also, I've recently developed an interest in road cycling, so if anybody has some favorite road bike trips in the Moab area I'd enjoy some info on them too. Thanks in advance.

Ok, I did some research and I think I figured it out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks as though Iceaxe owns http://climb-utah.com, which is where my "Apparently I have to be somebody’s friend or something" comment came from. And maybe he's not a fan of Facebook. :ne_nau: But let me assure you, I did not mean to put you (Iceaxe), or your website, down in anyway. I am a fan of the web-site, and, from what I saw of your posts as I was browsing them, you are someone I would enjoy spending time with as well. I simply found that there was a hurdle that I was having trouble overcoming as I was looking for information on the wind caves and I was confused, not upset, as to why I was not able to access any information on it. So please accept my apology and know that there was no insult intended in my comment.
