So I'm planning on heading down to Morocco next week and I'm wondering what the water is like. I saw a couple people went down there for Freezefest (which looked awesome). Mostly wondering about the supposedly unavoidable water at the end. Apparently some people in our group have qualms about swimming in January. Thanks in advance! :cool2:

it's unavoidable. nipple deep on me. it was relatively warm though, not worth a wetsuit IMO.

Agree on the nipple deep part, but relatively warm? I didn't warm up till noon the next day :cold: . As for the wetsuit (which I had in my pack :facepalm1:) you will be fine without it, a dry shirt for after the pool would be plenty.

Thanks! I'll take that into consideration.

I also have frozen in Morocco carrying a wetsuit in my pack. You can avoid most of the water until the end, so it is best just to power on through. Or, just put the damn wetsuit on at the beginning like a sensible person.:facepalm1:
