This is pretty dang funny.... but the funniest part whoever made it still didn't understand our complicated liquor laws.... FYI: If a place has a tavern license then children are welcome. There are even a couple of taverns around SLC that encourage family's (The Fox Hole is one). We've hit up the Fox Hole a couple times as a family to watch football and shoot pool. Many of you have been to Ray's in Green River, it is also a tavern where kids are welcome.

I had a situation like that at the SLC airport. I was informed that I had enough drinks in the allotted time and will have to wait 15 minutes before I will be served another one :haha: Meanwhile, the barmaid at the JetBlue terminal in NYC will give you an on the house double whiskey to go in a paper coffee cup complete with a lid :haha:
I should post some pics of my moonshine production. Apparently, I am quite an artisan when it comes to making moonshine. :cool2:

In a lot of ways Utah's liquor laws are very lax if you understand them.
For example.... its not against the law to toss back an adult beverage while hiking or camping in the Uinta's or Canyonlands. And a beer with lunch while skiing or snow boarding is almost a requirement.
But try popping the top on an adult beverage while sitting on the beach in California or Florida and see what happens.
Utah's liquor laws might be confusing and quirky for out-of staters.... But I don't consider them nearly as strict as some other places like a couple of the Bible belt states..... YMMV....

Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with liquor laws in Utah. A lot of places have weird liquor laws as pointed out by Iceaxe. I respect the local laws. I adopt by learning how to get around them :haha:

You are right about each state having it's own quirky laws. In PA where I lived for quite a few years, children could come into the bar only until 9 pm. then, they had to leave. PA sells no kind of beer or hard liquor in the grocery stores. Nada. You had to go to a beer distributor. State run liquor store for the hard stuff if you wanted a bottle.
At bars or restaurants, Out of fear of being held accountable, all mixologists are leery about how much they gave a customer to drink. Hence, the pub "crawl" where patrons know they will only get two drinks and be cut off at an establishment. So, they do their two drinks and walk or "crawl" to the next place. Last call when the bars close at 2 am. So, people order pitchers and several drinks to "stock up" til closing time.
Closing time.....how does the song go? ......but ya can't stay here..... hehe
