So after this last ride I have come to the conclusion that I need to drop 100lbs. off the BRP.
So I bought myself a 3/4" drill and I figure if I only drill at 1-7/8" on center line I can shave 10lbs. between my subframe and swing arm and frame.
I'm half way done and I am looking for more ideas to shave wieght.
Any other thoughts?
W
ell I guess I should rethink this just a bit more in the morning .
Feeling a little too tweeked right now.
Half way there and only 1/2 to go so I have time for any and all input.
Oh yea and I am trimming all my side knobs with a hot knife that should be good for another pound..
Maybe I can shit can my front number plate and light?
Oh this is great all I need now is just a small line and I'm sure I can find tons more to help my cause.
Hell at this point maybe able to shave another 1/2 pound somewhere else. Still trippin on this great Idea.

Hey I could not help myself as some think I'm a tweeker.
Never touched the shit nor will I ever try it.
I ain't crazy I'm friggin nuts.
I have however found a way to shave some weight and scoot my ass a little faster with a 450 four stroke.
This means I have a bid red pig up for sale.:fitz:
I'm guilty of being a noob and got to learn somehow.
Will be gone all day and I'm planning to bring the new to me stead home by 1-3:00am
Mon.
What can I say? I'm over fighting the heavy pig in the tech. stuffs.
It will be a long day indeed.
And if you can't take a joke ,FYYFF.
TWEEKER MY ASS
Well if you were on the Meth you would loose weight and your bike would go faster too... :afro:

Yamihami 450 yz
After the first little ride I am not happy to sale the XR but it is what it is.
If I'm guilty of any addiction it is the raw power of the BIG thumper.
I will hate to she her go.

Took her for a small ride tonight and I am missing the power of the BRP right off the bat.
Anybody interested in a 76 Porsche 914 project or a 83 VW westy?
I really don't want to get rid of my Honda piggy and I know that I can never find that kinda power again if I do.

The Yamaha 450 YZ hasn't got enough poop for you? You are the man, that is a mean toy.

Let's make this easy. You buy a lighter bike and everyone can call me Tweeker. This should make everyone happy.
I know I will be. :roflol:

Oh do not get me wrong, This YZ is fast and light and the suspension is wonderful.
I can ride much faster in the tight stuff with it than I dared to with the BRP.
But when you roll on the throttle you just don't get that raw power filling under you like the BRP.
It's more like a sling shot with the YZ. And yes it is good:twisted:

You need a Honda AF500....

WOW that AF500 looks insane. Two smoker isn't it?
And the price? Well that aint happening:lol8:
Hoping for a get together in Jan.
But if it is an overnighter to the Grand Cyn. maybe I'll hold onto the BRP for another month or so.
Meanwhile the new to me YZ450 is in my hands and I need to get some time in on her. Poor me.

IMO the best upgrade you can buy is a aftermarket kickstand for your new stead. For us old folks sure makes life nice. Now if you could just slip a magic button on it.
Looks nice.

The magic button would be nice.
The kickstand I broke off.
Might be able to fix but may just have to get a new one. Wish they would design them with the bolt on side to be made out of steel.
