Why don't we have alpine rides this long and crazy in the USA? Must be an insurance issue.

Hehehe, but you guys have canyons like nowhere else and roller-coasters we (over here in Europe) can only dream of......
Like i.e. Kingda Ka (damn, that was the craziest roller coaster I ever experienced, a shame it is only short):

Looks like a lot of straightaways, too bad there aren't more 360's in there to get those G forces cranking. Looks fun though, I'd be nervous about that tiny rail holding the mass at that velocity.

My top speed shows at 24 MPH when we did the Alpine Coaster in Park City.

now to preface, i'm not a big fan of development and i wouldn't want them to put something like this in in the states, but i will say this was pretty intense.

That looks really cool. Do you have a brake? and if so just to slow down at the end?

Stefan, 9000 vertical?? Sweet!! I'd like to see if I could ski that top to bottom.

Yes there's a brake but we didn't use it. They'll slow you down automatically at the end too.

That northface line looks a wee bit scrappy. Looking for a nice fat strip from top to bottom.
