Can a bagette hold a 100 feet of 8.3 mm rope? Or would a bagarino be better?

I would say a bagarino is better. I have a bagette holding 60 feet of the 8.3 canyon fire. I could definitely get a bit more in it, but not too much more...certainly not 40 feet more.

We have a Bagarino. It's intended to hold a 120 ft. 8.3 or 9.0 rope. Fits nicely with a little extra room. I believe Bagette is mainly intended for pull cord. Holds up to 200 ft of 6/7 mm, but can be used for other as indicated above. Both work great for rope management. Love 'em.

I keep 120 feet of 9mm Canyonero in my Baguette. It definitely fits fine but may not stuff as easily as it would in a larger bag.

Hmm. That's an interesting marriage. Yeah, my bet is it is kinda hard to stuff...ha ha.

Buying a bag that is too small, that is hard to stuff, defeats about 1/3 of the value of using an engineered rope bag.

My point was more about the rope/bag sellers mix.

Just seems like it'd be easier to stuff an Imlay rope into an Imlay bag...

The Canyonero rope and Baguette bag are both Imlay. It's really not bad to stuff until the last 20-30 feet and still not bad, IMO. But then again, I'm not super experienced with this whole 'hiking with ropes' thing...

I am guessing he was thinking of the canyonator?

I decided to order a Bagarino, after trying to stuff the rope into a box about the size of a bagette. Thanks for all the input.
