View Full Version : Trip Report 24 Hrs of Bootleg

We did the 24 hrs of Bootleg race this past weekend. What a blast! Initially we had a 5 man, 24 hr team but they canceled the 24 hr component so we moved to a duo and trio in the 12 hr category. We really enjoyed ourselves. We were certainly the most "weekend warriorish" of everybody there. We'd pre-run the course about twice a week for the last couple of months so we thought we'd do well. But right out of the gate we could tell we were bunch of posers! Some of these guys we're simply hauling ass. I couldn't believe it when the first guy came in with a 47 minute lap. It takes me 80 minutes and my super fit buddies 60 minutes. Oh well, we had fun.

We had custom shirts made up for our Dirt Monkey teams. I was blown away at how nice everyone was. We made good friends with all the people around us and the Hammer Nutrition team that was next to us gave us a ton of stuff!

Good job on doing the race. I have saved the last few number plates and I put them along the wall in my garage. I wish that I had saved all of them for a larger collection.

Yep, at the beginning I still thought we had a chance at winning or placing. It wasn't for another hour that I realized how much we truly sucked ballz.

Dont hate on my amazingness! You're just jealous of my mad skillz! When are you coming down again? I know you're starting to get snow......I'll be on Gooseberry mesa thanksgiving wknd!

I will be in the Southern utah area for Thanksgiving weekend as well. I am hoping to find some new trails and probably do some riding right in St george.

Myself and another bogley guy here will be doing gooseberry on friday and probably jem or zen/poppy on saturday.
