As promised, here are more photos from our hike. I had heard that Langston was an interesting hike back in 2002, but it never made it to the top of my list until recently. I gave Bo a call and he was interested in joining me and it made for a great day. Started an hour before dawn to give ourselves plenty of time. Lots of class 2-3 scrambling, some bushwhacking, and boulder-hopping. Nothing exposed, just a lot of work. The final hike to the summit seemed like an endless sandy hill, but finally we made it and it was well worth it.
Thanks to Courtney Purcell and his Zion Summits guide for the spot-on beta and thanks to "The Pristine Zone" for the extra inspiration. And thanks to Bo and Alan for the great company. This was the third time I hiked with Bo over the past seven years and aside from the great scenery, the conversation and laughs make for an awesome day. Below are some of my better photos from that day. -Joe
