Can I get some more details on these Lava Tubes.. the girls would love to hit up a "cave like structure" :)

Will will hit up the corn maze too.. but I think we will take my GPS just to be safe... I wouldn't want to have to call 911 :facepalm1:

There is really like 5 or 6 pretty decent ones. But I will point out the 2 largest I have been in. Please note the bottom 2 arrows are actually one cave, but I can't recall which one it's in, it's one of those 2 spots. Hard to tell from the sky view hehe. If you are into caves, we also have the bloomington caves which are huge and you can spend like 4 hours in there. You do have to get a permit from the blm office but it's free and they don't restrict numbers of visitors. These caves are only about 100 feets and take 15-30 mins. The bloomington cave is like a mile, and very kid friendly, nothing super hard that can't be bypassed.

Do you have bikes? We have some cool trails here. Can you hit up Zion? only 40 mins away? Are they into swimming? We have the Sand Hollow aquatic center, heated pool, indoor slide, etc.

Edit: Crap! I'm on my work machine and only have paint. Hopefully you can see the area I'm even pointing to , then see full screen on the link. Sorry bro! Basically if you just park where I linked and walk down the trail, you'll see em.

Thanks Cricket :).. I think I can find them from your pics.. Looks like snow canyon would be a decent place to bring the bike and trailer to drag them around in too :)..

I would do Bloomington but since It will be just me supervising the 2 twits I don't know how safe that would be...

We are going to hit up Zion on Saturday as my wife will be done with her conference and can do stuff then too

Thanks for the help :) :afro:

No trouble! There is also some really cool red sand dunes towards the bottom of snow canyon. My 5 year old loves it when we make sand castles and then he can be godzilla and destroy them. Jenny's canyon (last trail in snow canyon) is also cool for kids and a good intro into canyoneering. It's just a cool 10 minute slot with zero exposure. but they still get to walk through a narrow crack in the earth. then you can take this other trail to scout's lookout (off Jennys canyon) and it's a cool little fort at the top. Not sure if girls are into the same thing as boys though, hehe. My son thinks it's awesome.

If you are taking the kids in a trailer, you'd be much better off taking one of the main paved trail around the virgin river. Snow canyon is quite steep. There is a directory of maps here. Click on the trail tab and download the "uban trail map.pdf"

Also take them up to dixie rock. There is some really cool trail for them to play in and a cool little park. You can get on top of Dixie rock and see the whole city. And behind is a natural rock maze with tons of slickrock to play on.

Hmmm, now those sound like great places to go. I was headed to Goblin Vallet with the trailer, but now I wonder if St George would be the ticket. IS there anywhere we can put a popup on BLM land close to Snow for free???

I was going to go out along the road to little wild horse canyon and just park out there somewhere for a few days.

Ideas on free camping in St George area???

TIA, and sorry to poach a thread.

oh yeah I have seen tons of mountain bikers and hippies camping right in this area every time I hit Zen trail. I think you pretty much just drive till you find a nice view and park. They even get motor homes out there.

If you are looking for any indoor activities Antigravity http://www.antigravityarena.com/ is a ton of fun. They also have a new merry-go-round in the town square by the library on Main street. Across from this park is Judd's cute little candy and soda pop shop you can get ice cream. There is the Dinosaur Discovery site http://www.sgcity.org/dinotrax/info.php
