Buckskin gulch road and canyon conditions for October 2011

Hi,
I have permits for Buckskin gulch (staring at Wire path) for this coming weekend (October 14th to 16th).
Would anyone know the conditions of the road to get to Wire Path? I called the ranger and that said that it was in pretty "rough" conditions. Would someone has more information.

And what about the canyon itself? Is it really muddy? many wading spots?

Any comments would be appreciated !

I was just through there on Thursday and the road was in good shape....even while it was pouring rain and soaked. In the morning Buckskin Wash was flowing good and high clearance was required to cross....but on the way back out it was just a trickle again.

Hopefully you get a minute to post your findings when you return... I am heading out there next week, the 24th thru the 28th. I plan to drop in at the Middle exit, hike down to confluence, up to White House and then back across to the Trailhead for Middle exit where I will be leaving my car.
