How do you do that with Popsicle sticks?

You fold the sticks around each other so that they have some spring in them. I use to do it as a kid, I tried to do it with about 50 sticks after seeing this video the other day and I can't remember for the life of me how I did it :(

You kinda bend them in certain ways..... I guess that would be a more correct way to put it.
