Cold Springs Trout Farm

We took the kiddos up to Cold Springs Trout Farm up in North Ogden the other night, we had about an hour and a half to take them somewhere so this was perfect.

They charge by the size of fish caught, and there's a fine for throwing them back in. You can also just take the kids in and buy a cup of fish food for 25 cents if you're wanting just a quick visit and you don't feel like catching fish.

They do a fine job of filleting the fish for you as well.

That is a fun place to take kids fishing. I paid to flyfish catch and release in the pond with the big fish in it. I would let my kids reel them in after I set the hook. They had fun for the $15.00 for the hour and I didn't have to mess with taking fish home.

I remember going here as a kid. If I remember right they have some HUGE fish in their breeding area. Fun times.

Yeah it's a great place for the kids. They've got a corn maze now for halloween.

We went here last night and did the kiddie corn maze. My little boy had a lot of fun and he got a free small pumpkin and a cup of food to feed the fish. There were only 2 other cars in the parking lot and we were the only ones in the corn maze. They have a "scary" entrance to the corn maze that you can go through but my little boy wasn't having that. :) I'll post a video when I get home later.
