We did that hike last year and enjoyed it very much. I bet now with the fall colors the scenery is awesome.

They were just starting. 1-2 weeks from now will be probably the best time for colors.

Is this the trail that has that huge sheer drop from the top, like the biggest straight drop in the Western Hemisphere?

I think you're thinking of Notch Peak down west of Delta.
