I gave the seafood buffet a miss (i know, it shocked me too) only because I couldnt make myself pay $45 a person:eek2: I DID hit the Red Lobster never ending shrimp:haha: but mostly I stayed off the strip - I think I put 400 miles on my rental car driving all over the place.

I just tried out an Ibis 2012 sl-r on Mueller. I couldn't believe how light weight it was. Just over 22 lbs. I ran into another guy riding an Ibis and he said that they are the best when it comes to carbon frames and their warranty.

steel is real!!!

I haven't seen very many broken steel bikes. I've seen a lot of aluminum frames with fractures and a few carbon chain stays broken.

Heavy??? Come on bud... Do your research. A steel frame is closer to an aluminum frame, weight wise, than an aluminum frame is to a carbon frame. Steel tubing is stronger than aluminum, thus wall thickness is thinner. Obviously it is heavier, but not by that much. Many low-production(relatively), high end bike(not union bike co.) companies make bikes out of steel only because the ride characteristics are "better" (their quotes, not mine). I am not, nor will I ever be, trying to talk anybody into a steel frameset(I know it takes a special kind of person), but at least be rightly informed...

Well, although I will admit that speedy is pretty hot...
I was kinda thinking more along the lines of a DMR Bolt or an Atomlab TrailkingSS. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
