Hummingbird porn

Went to visit the parents in San Diego, my dad is feeding a lot of hummingbirds. he has 8 feeders going, I set my GoPro by 4 of them and got some decent footage. It's in high def for viewing enjoyment.

Holy crap - that's amazing! I love how they all get along so well.

I have one hummingbird feeder that I've seen a max of 2 birds visiting at once. I can't identify the species, but I know one is intolerant of interlopers while he's feeding and will chase them away. Amazing how something that small can be so territorial :haha:.

I guess in another month they will migrate somewhere else and he will have none. But each year they come and visit, have lots of babies and my parents love watching them get bigger and then come back next year. Next year I'm going to put my GoPro next to one of the tiny little nests and film some babies close up, woohoo!
