You are facing the rear of the train, the caboose, or towards South.... you begin to walk toward the rear of the train.

Are you walking North or South?

I would say your walking "towards" the South, while "direction" of the train has you "moving" North.:ne_nau:

I would say you are walking south. But, I believe that the average walking speed is somewhere around 3.5 mph. so realistically you are walking north because the opposite speed is 50 mph which would make your speed -46.5 mph. So you are technically walking north? I don't know otherwise....but, brain teaser, so im sure Ill be surprised :nod:

It depends on where the train is. The train will always be heading east (earth's rotation) at up to ~1000mph relative to the centre of the earth. So the walker will be heading south but travelling north-east. Vector diagrams 'n' all. :twisted:
