Lightning 8.28.2011- East Bench- Wasatch

I was driving home on Wasatch Blvd and this storm just started pounding the Wasatch. It was a crap shoot for lightning shots. This one I shot was fun because I got a cloud to ground and cloud to cloud strike in the same shot. One of the best light shows all summer! This pic was on the news on KSL on Monday. Love them summer time thunder storms!

Yeah, I was pretty stoked when I fired the shutter and these two strikes came down right across the divide I was on. Gets the blood pumpin' for sure. I would have loved to be a bit farther out of the rain line though. Bit of drops in the frame, still fun though!
