This is Insane!

I'll move this down into the biking section in a few days, but I'm putting it here for now so ya'll can appreciate the insanity.

The back story is I was went on a long mountain bike ride behind my house Saturday and came upon this crazy jump. I had actually seen the jump before in a video that went viral of a girl crashing in an ultimate fail. But I had no clue the jump was only a few miles from my house.

Anyhoo.... the video is not mine, but talking with the kids at the jump they told me they had made the video below. The video is exceptionally well done and is a must see.

Yup, this is the one in Alpine. But I rode to it from Corner Canyon.

And yes, I borrowed a bike and went off it. But my jump was very vanilla compare to what was in the video... I would best describe my jump as "I survived"!.

Vanilla is great! Would be sweet to just roll off the ramp and not knock yourself out with the handlebars or something as the bike hits the water followed up by a flailing body!

As I said... the video at the top was not the day I was there. It was made by some of the people I met. I just stumbled on to the jump while riding my mountain bike. I didn't ask when the video was made, they just told me to go watch it.

I don't care to broadband the location until I understand the private property issues.... I pedaled around at least two no trespassing signs on my way to the jump.

Also last year you could drive a 4x4 to the jump, but the road has now been blocked with a huge boulder and a sign reading "no entrance".

That is so insane and crazy that it just rocks - it is so cool what they are doing. Even though it is quite dangerous I have to admit that it looks like a lot of fun and that I would love to try that out! (Well, of course not the girl's fall^^ that must have been a painful fall....)
