Had another great round up at Pineview, this time behind a nice Crownline boat. Even though the top of the wake was a little dirty, the sweet spot was easy to find on the surfboard.

Now I'm forgetting the brand of wakesurf board (http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&x=0&ref_=nb_sb_ss_i_0_14&y=0&field-keywords=wakesurf%20board%20&url=search-alias%3Daps&sprefix=wakesurf%20board#?_encoding=UTF8&tag=bogloutdcomm-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957) we were on but it was pretty decent. I'll try to find that.

Nice vid as usual! Looks like you guys had a blast. :2thumbs:

Hey I got a question though for ya...... Your choice of music seemed lacking on this one. It's alright don't get me wrong, but I can clearly see by the Air Guitar action you guys were probably blasting some AC/DC and rocking the F out. So I would think a little "Zen-lesser" type music would be in order yeah? But putting copyrighted music up on youtube gets you muted. What's your thoughts on this? Are you just limited by your selection now or was that the song you really had in mind for making this video?

Inquiring minds want to know... :haha:

It's funny, I get mixed reaction on every soundtrack. I actually got requests on where I got this music this time. For the mountain bike stuff I like the zen soothing calm stuff but for this I just wasn't feeling it.

Plus my wife said she liked it so that's probably where I screwed up.

I get all my stuff from www.freeplaymusic.com (http://www.freeplaymusic.com) lately. I can't risk having 300 more videos suspended for a 4th time. LOL

I did make a different version of this video, same soundtrack though. But it has a lot of "me" in it.... so I didn't use it here.

I've been out of the boating world for a good 12 years. How fast are you going on these wakesurfers compared to wakeboarding? It seems more natural not having the rope tugging on you all the time. Maybe I'm as soft as the womb of a marshmallow mermaid but wakeboarding always felt like I was hucking my carcass over the wake onto a relatively flat landing. It never clicked for me with the rope always pulling. Skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding are natural for me so wakesurfing seem more up my alley. We used big surfboards in the early to late 90's never knowing there was something better.

It varies with the boat's wake and the rider / board. This time we were going @ 10 MPH I think.

I just want to throw a note of caution out there. It's best to surf behind INBOARD motor boats, with this Crownline the prop is a little exposed and could cause some major damage if you didn't really know how to stay away from it.

I remember when I got a little close to the boat, the board would want to sink because of all the air right above the prop. You could really get sucked right in if you weren't careful of the backdraft, or back current, whatever you want to call it when the current is coming right back to the boat.

Just use caution and common sense when surfing behind an exposed prop. Hell, it probably isn't even legal. I would just hate for somebody to see this thread and think it's ok to hop in the water next to 5 sharp blades spinning just feet away from them.

But on a brighter note, I'm usually surfing behind a Mastercraft or Ski Centurion, and the speed is usually the same, and it helps to have all of the guys in the back corner, plus turning the boat in a slight wide turn on the side you're surfing on.
