Just thought I'd share this with the community here. After a few days in Escalante (trip report in the works), my old Salomons have finally given up the ghost. They have now lasted me about two years and a little over 25 canyons. I say they're Salomons, but by the time I was done with them, I think the only brand they could really claim was shoe goo. So, if your shoes don't look like these when you're done with them, just know that you probably haven't used them enough. :cool2: The unfortunate thing is, now I'm restricted to pretty tame canyons until I can afford to buy some Canyoneers.
Haha, Wow those are horrible....err great!

I am sorry, why do you think it is over for these shoes???:roflol:
I especially like the drain hole on the side of the shoe by the little toe.
Clearly there is something defective with your shoes. I think REI would take them back.

No!!!! I love those shoes. It's cool, I left my five tens in Keyhole this weekend (trip report also in the works). My brother found them on his way through Zion, but now my shoes are in Las Vegas, so we'll go tackle the tame canyons together. Or why not just go do Heaps in tennis shoes? :haha:

Why don't you like your shoes with a little added Air Conditioning. Doesn't that increase the value of something? :haha:

You should try to return those just to see the look on their face. :haha:
