Oops, I didn't know this was from 2008? First I'd seen the video though...

What a cool video! I wonder how many times he tried that with ropes before attempting without.

A few times, like, I want to remember maybe three or so? He self belayed and went up and down on a fixed line.

Nice kid. Rehearsed or not, very impressive free solo. Ditto his Half Dome NW face free solo (was just on the cover of a recent National Geographic). Recently soloed the Phoenix in Yosemite. Impressive.

Was in Salt Lake a couple of months ago for a Salt Lake Climbers Alliance fundraiser. Probably in town now for the OR show.

Crazy, if I had to guess I would have said like 15ish. But I guess when you get to that level he probably just has to remember a couple moves on the crux and the rest is just jelly.

I was afraid to top step when doing that route, so much exposure. I thought I was a bad ass for aiding it. Now I feel like a giant pussy.

Same here, I wanted to show my son the video since he just came back from scout camp at Zion where they did some canyons.

Interesting... I always thought clips and teasers were put out there (or allowed to be out there) by the production/distribution companies to generate interest. I know in this case these short clips made me want to see the whole series. I LIKE to support projects that are well done and interesting to me. Youtube et al make it easy to find out if that's the case. Yanking them might have the exact opposite effect of what they're really trying to achieve.

Oh well. Off to cancel my order.

fortunately, sender films doesn't need a lot of interest in this anymore. they struck while the iron was hot. it happened a long time ago, and they probably don't stand to make much money from people pirating their footage anymore...

they're too busy pimping ueli steck now.
