Glad to see some BOGLEY names on a few of the Hall of Fame boards. Josh I saw that you were able to break up that "Larry" monopoly on the Sports category HoF. And UDink with the top 3 scores in the '90s category! Congrats.

I've tweaked the timer a bit and added some easier questions... so scores may go up. Again... best score in the EVERYTHING category by Saturday night gets the Amazon card.

Thanks for playing. I've already collected some good data re: browsers, question difficulty, etc.

Scott P -- looks like you own Geography. I hope you didn't get an erroneous email, because it looks like you still have the top score there.

Udink -- I'm only going to count the scores from August for the contest, so you are currently in the lead.

BTW, I flipped a switch to hide all but one's best score on any given day (per category). That way it'll show a little more variety on each Hall of Fame board. (Until you guys come back on a few different days and dominate again!)

When it comes to sports, flags, and moons, I suck! :lol8: I finally got lucky enough to get a long streak without any of those and got the high score, but I'm gonna keep trying to beat my score. This is fun. :nod: Maybe I'll check out some other games/categories too.

Dang. It looks like a change was made to the hall of fame list? :ne_nau: I played for 40 minutes or so; just so I could kick everyone else off the Hall of Fame, but now it just shows the high score for each person per day. Bummer. Oh well, I don't have the time to play once a day to kick the others off again. Maybe I'll try a quick few now, but that's it for a while.

Sorry Scott -- yep, that's the change I was talking about. You did completely own that board for a while though. But...

Once there was a critical mass of scores I made the change to avoid score "clumping" when trying to beat a top score, show more variety on the boards and add an incentive to come back.

In related news... I see there's a bug on the Top Players list. It should show players with the most CURRENT Hall of Fame entries -- but right now it's showing total logged entries. I'll update that... at some point.

Thanks again to everyone who has played. It has already yielded some great data. It's funny how different people like/dislike/hate different questions. (eg "I hate these moons questions!", "Who knows African countries?", "How would I know which actress that is?", "Who cares what position he played?!") Remember... I didn't write ALL the questions!

Udink -- you are still first in line to be the contest winner. Scores are creeping higher though, so we will see if it holds up.

Definite honorable mention to Udink -- who had a score all week that I thought would be the winner. And... another shout out to Scott P. who has a Geography score which I don't think will be bested any time soon.

Thanks to all that played. I got some great data re: question repetition, difficulty and favorite categories as well as a bunch of tech junk like browser preferences. It should help me make some improvements to the site in the next few months.

But now... it's time to go get ready for my next big hike!
