A friend and I are hoping to do Lava Point --> Cabin Springs and then through to the grotto over the course of two days (starting the morning of 8/9) but aren't too keen on paying for a shuttle (broke college students).
We'd be grateful if anyone is going up that way and could accommodate two dudes + gear....certainly willing to chip in for gas money as well.
