First we start late...July! Not to mention all the SNOW and the fact that we are STILL waiting for it all to melt.

AND now it's raining every other day!? In July?! Is this typical? Slightly annoyed!!! Anybody else?

It always (well almost always) rains in Carbondale in July, "monsoon" season. But it does seem to be raining a bit much.

There is nothing "typical" about this year. With how hard it was raining up Millcreek on us today, felt like the PNW, not the Wasatch.

Definitely a unique summer thus far. Normally in May, I can get up to the Tushars or Pahvant mountains. Here we are mid-July and there's still too much snow. Regarding the rain, I was camped out at 5Mile (I NEVER have camped in 5Mile in July before) and got home just before the flooding hit that area! Yikes!

It is strange. But I'm loving it! Still able to get outside-though not quite as much as I'd like to. The change is nice. I'm sure we'll be up to 110 soon enough ::cry1:

I'm not liking all the humidity this summer so far...

I'm surprised nobody has rang in with the GLOBAL WARMING comments yet...perhaps Mr. Gore has an explanation for your "strange summer?"

Yeah this humidity blows... The rain blows too, hopefully the weather heads are correct and today is the last afternoon showers or it will stay clear?

Loving it! I hate 110 temps and this rain is keeping things cool here in Southern Utah. Love the lightening storms.

For my garden's sake, I hope we have an extended fall. All my plants are about 1 month behind due to the cool temps. Reminds me of late May-early June right now.

Sorry to hear summer's not panning out as planned for some of you folks in UT. Here in southwestern CO, OTOH, it is an awesome summer! Monsoons came about 2 weeks ago, and have been cleaning the air of the smoke from fires, providing us much needed rain, and cutting the fire danger.

It hasn't hampered our activities at all, other than we don't do above-timberline hikes on days when t-storms are predicted...and we pack rain gear when we hike.

You all can always head on over here and enjoy a great time outdoors in the meantime :wavey:; we'd love to have you!
