Not to cause a fight here :haha: but I am thinking of headed up to the uintas tomorrow for the day and maybe get into some brookies. What do you guys think trails below like 10,200 would be like? Maybe something like Packard Lake or some of the lower stuff off the Crystal Lake trailhead? Anyone ever been to Big Elk Lake area? Obviously I won't be able to go over any pass and I will still have some snow to deal with, but it seems if I can stay lower I should be good. What do you all think?

Well, I'm going to go out on a limb here, since I haven't been up there, but since Trial Lake is now showing 2 inches of snow, according to snotel, I'm thinking down below that (and Trial is about 9800 feet) it may be wet, and have pockets of snow, but is probably good to go. So, maybe taking that Crystal Lake trailhead and heading down towards Weir Lake, Duck Lake etc. might yield some fine results.

Weir, Duck, Pot and Marjorie were frozen over on Monday according to my friends who toured on skis and boards that area. Maybe this weather made a dent, but with all the cloud cover and cooler temps I suspect not.
