It's been raining in Vegas, subsequently the weather has been pretty nice. Last night it was only 90 so I decided to see if I could squeeze in some mileage after work.
I got out to the trailhead around 6:30 and was riding around 6:45. It was 89 and MOIST. The recently rained smell was awesome. The trail was packed and the climb up wasn't that bad, just took it slow.
Had one wipeout on the way down. The front tire caught the edge of some looser stuff and BAM, down I went. Nice scrape and bruise on the elbow and knee but nothing serious. I was booking at this point since I knew that twilight ended at 8:30 (love my new daylight app!) and I was still about 4 miles from the parking lot.
Made it back at 8;20. The nitty gritty;
