Didn't see any closed signs, and only a couple of slightly wet spots. Looks like the Forest Service was working on a slight reroute to get from the Maples campground road over to the bottom of the Sardine Peak trail. There are some new bridges and one replacement bridge.

The picture was taken at the intersection of the Wheeler and Sardine trails.

At the very bottom of Ice Box, Wheeler Creek has wiped out 100 feet of trail. The foliage has been cut so you can stay out of the water to get around the problem. The hike-a-bike isn't too tough.

Rocky sections along Wheeler have had even more soil washed out leaving many loose rocks. Long stretches along East Fork Wheeler trail have a fairly deep trench down the center. People are riding on the narrow shoulders.

I didn't go above the Snowbasin lodge. The picture from the lodge shows some snow on the lower ski slopes.

I ended up doing the race up there last night. Well let me rephrase that, I paid $10 and I rode my bike along with others who were in the race.
