Day 12: Moab to Green River | July 30, 2007
Before I could head anywhere, I had to replace the waterpump on my Jeep for the second time on this trip. It took a few hours in the morning, so I got a later start than normal.
When I did finally get going, I made my way to Spring Canyon which leads down to the Green River.

When I made it to the canyon floor, I headed up the Green River towards Hey Joe Canyon a little ways.
Just a little overgrown down here along the river.

Sure could use some limb risers for this overgrown tamarisk

After heading back out, I went to check out the Dellenbaugh Tunnel. I did make it to the end of the trail, but was unable to locate the tunnel. I will be heading back to try and find it another time.
Stopped in front of Tombstone Rock

On my way back from the tunnel, I managed to run into another little problem. I guess I was driving a little too fast when I hit a small rocky wash just a little to hard.

I bent the wheel pretty good.

It was not a lot of fun having to change the tire in the middle of the desert with no shade...

...but I did manage to pound out the dent and fill the tire with air, but it went on the back of my Jeep as my new spare tire.

After that setback, I found my way over to Rainbow Terrace, also known as Rainbow Rocks trail. This trail brings you up and close to the Rainbow Rocks butte.

I was originally planning on taking the Crystal Geyser trail to Green River, but because of my delays and because I was worried about my fuel level, I decided to head out on Ruby Ranch Road and hit up I-70 to take to Green River.
The drive on Ruby Ranch Road looked a lot like this

I made it to Green River in time to grab some dinner and get some rest after my long day.
