Wow, that is craziness. I didn't realize at all the part about the rechargeable batteries. And I can't ever turn off my two PC's since they have important things running at all times. That could really add up though.

Sounds good, something they can take part in. Keep the politics out, keep government out.

Man, I guess all America needs is education... not government at all. Good point :2thumbs::fishing: give a man a fish and he eats lunch, teach him how to fish and hopefully he writes a book about it and makes enough money to buy dinner for a month :naughty:

Edit: and by that I mean, the government money.....

I've wondered where the break even point is on the "incandescent vs. compact fluorescent bulbs" when one takes into account the cost/energy/non-renewable resources consumed during their fabrication (and disposal--small amount of mercury in the current fluorescent bulbs). The compact fluorescents are awesome with their long life and lower power consumption (I've got them installed in the hard to get to places in my house). But the compacts contain a printed circuit board, a capacitor, rectifier, and a couple of transistors in the base and then the tube. May not be as green as they first appear based on energy required to go from dirt to finished product.

Well, I have my own Graphic Design Business and my computers make me money. One of them is actually set up as a server that has to run at all times (which of coarse is set to a much lower power mode). The other always has Rendering, Uploading, Downloading, and lots of important programs running. for me I would lose more money with it off then I do with it on :cool2:

I meant it's not worth saving that much money in a year to turn off the computer. I know exactly what you mean. :bandit:
